A bit violent today? Katie face punching, Ian throttling Katie ? But sounds like you are both recovering & a lot more cheerful than last week.
I can't talk about swimming goggles - but I was taught to rinse, then spit and rub to stop my snorkelling facemask misting up. And I was also taught to let water in, swirl around, then clear the water by breathing out. Or has technology changed in the last 20 (or 30?) years ?
Pod badges - you could make the codeword 'hidden' in the podcast. Like those radio phone in's where there's a specific song that triggers the competition. You could have a trigger word (that you do share at the start, like vestibule or other room name) and the next word is the code word? Other than the risk of a fit of giggles.
Another entertaining podcast guys, thanks for the inclusion! Yes Devon is beautiful but it does rain quite a lot down here! However I am indeed very lucky to live in this wonderful part of the world...
The electric fence... well as I slipped and slided (is that a word?) along one particular bit of the path I subconsciously reached out and grabbed the field boundary rope to steady myself, and received a massive jolt! It was quite a shock (obviously!), very nearly putting me on my rear and had my arm tingling for a couple of minutes afterwards! I was extra careful of what grabbed on to for the rest of the run
Another great episode. Lovely badge. Does the rarity index show how many others have the badge, or is it somehow a ranking score (and if so is high or low better)?
To get to the Bridge Farm shop in Sandy, you could follow the cycle path to nearly Sandy, then do a wee wiggle down a couple of quiet roads and onto another path right to the shop - no need to run on the scary road at all!
Just to say re Katie and the lady she spoke to and gave hat to, I completely agree, one of the hardest things about chatting to and trying to engage with and help homeless people (in the tiniest way that I can, chatting to Big Issue guy, and the other guy near his pitch and various issues they have had) how hard it is to walk away. But I think there are always more things that we can do, but you can't let the more overwhelm the some, if you see what I mean. I know you don't, but that's what I tell myself anyway. Doing a little bit is better than doing nothing. If everyone did a little bit, the problems would be a whole lot less. Anyhoo. Well done you and everyone that does way more than me! G
