The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I saw the suggestion in HowFar?'s blog, and I sort of fancy giving it a go - maybe just a little ten minute thing, that you could listen to during one of your many miles of running / commuting during the week.
But I shan't call it a "weekly" podcast, because these things have a habit of not working out - especially if it eats quite a bit of my working week. It feels like I have enough plates in the air as it is
Therefore, I'm starting this thread as a catchall for your comments and suggestions. How would you see it working? What could I talk about? If I opened it up to contributors, would you be willing to get involved? Either on a regular basis, or a one-off insight into your world?
@Sigh - I'd probably try a couple, and see how much time involvement is required. I'm stepping down as ED at Bedford parkrun in January, which has bought me some time back.
A lot of the time spent when I was doing the vlogs went in editing bits together, and chopping out bad bits. Plus when your face is on camera too, you have to be vaguely presentable, sort out the green screen, choose backgrounds, wear clothes, and so on. Just voice takes away much of this
Try one without a schedule commitment and see how it goes. I haven't listened to (or watched) a podcast ever but I will look for one now and see what they are like but I suspect they are just like any YouTube video of someone talking on a topic targeted at a receptive audience. I can see there are apps for it (not sure why it needs an app). It can be even more relevant if it follows a meet up such as a fetch mile as you can drag in a few fetch cameos perhaps?
Or search for 'fetcheveryone' in your favourite podcast app - let us know if it's not listed.

Contributors We love getting contributions. Here's how:
1) find somewhere with minimal background noise 2) recording on a smartphone is fine 3) start with "Hello Fetchies, it's..." 4) a couple of minutes is a good length 5) don't worry about ums, aahs and pauses. We can edit them out. 6) email the file to podcast@fetcheveryone.com
