Currently my 4th rarest but I expect that will change. When I got it yesterday it had a rarity index of #0

This seems to be an Edinburgh version of SOUP, as described by Scribbler (for which thanks!) list.co.uk Seems more emphasis on the soup (!) and music, but there was voting for one of 4 charity speakers, so I think it's the same concept. Will search again to see if it's still going (as this one was 2017). Very interesting indeed. BaronessBL is an excellent presenter! Enjoy the treasure hunt chat (even though it's not something I take part in). Strutbrother's investigating run was great too. Thanks all contributors. Really glad to hear Katie is building back up. Rarity of #142 for me, doesn't feel that rare?! Good idea though! G

I'm really pleased that Katie found someone to benefit from the hat and (possibly more important) from the fact that someone stopped long enough to acknowledge that she even existed. I completely understand that it must have been a really difficult conversation to have and to walk away from. If you were thinking about the conversation hours later, when you have loads of different conversations throughout the course of the day, imagine how much more powerful the conversation might have been for the other person involved, who probably spends large parts of their day being seemingly invisible. There was a heart wrenching clip on the BBC where Victoria Derbyshire was talking to rough sleepers. bbc.co.uk |

I guess all the country badges skew the rarity rating HappyG(rrr) - I think this means that there are 141 badges that fewer people own. For example, the WSW multiplayer winner badge has a rarity of #71 - but only 4 people have that. I must admit to falling asleep during the podcast - but that says more about me than it does about the podcast. Listening to it whilst resting on my bed as opposed to running - which is when I would normally listen (but what with the big reveal and the secret badge I couldn't wait to my next scheduled run) - was never going to end well. Anyway, I have now listened to it all again! Great stuff. Such a range of topics and emotions all in one place Last week was St David's Day and one of the things that St David is well known for saying (according to the person who was telling me this at the weekend) is 'do ye the little things in life'. Often we can't do anything about 'the big things' and so we end up doing nothing, but it's the little things that can make such a difference. |

Oh, I like that VJ, thanks. Is St David the patron saint of Wales too? Or did I get that wrong? G

The Scribbler
Sorry for the 'popping' on the recording about Soup. I must have had my mouth a bit close to the microphone. The winner of the 'Soup' pot was the lady wanting to improve her local area. She said she'd use the money to print some stickers and flyers. |
