tipsku Aug 2022 10:35pm, 1 Aug 2022 650 posts	0 tipsku @smoke free It's half an Olympic distance triathlon in Ravensburg, Germany on Saturday. 750m swim, 24 km (15 miles) bike, 5 km run. It's a hilly course, I expect about 325m of elevation gain. I've trained a lot on the bike in recent weeks because I have a niggly Achilles tendon so my running has been limited. I can run a couple of miles but I don't want to risk anything so I will postpone any longer runs until it feels normal again. I hope your injury heals soon, too. The swim is in a lake. I think I should survive it but it won't be pretty nor fast. About a fortnight ago, I swam 1000m in a lake in about 24:30 minutes. That's about 5 minutes slower than what I used to do when I was younger.
