Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I got through the loop eventually Jambono, by which time I had created three Justgiving pages. Obviously I've deleted all but one. I was interested to see that the 'target donation' suggested increased on each attempt, by several hundred pounds a time, until the last one was £1350! I have edited it to the amount I intend to donate, which is considerably more modest. I have an antipathy to people asking for sponsorship for something they want to do for their own enjoyment/challenge/benefit.

Kicked off my channel swim with a measly half a mile. Hope to get in the pool again this week because otherwise I'm going to struggle to get across.

Apologies. We’ve been away and since we’ve been back I’ve mostly had my hands full nursing sick children.

I’ll get the spreadsheet sorted this week.

I'm off the mark, 1km in my lunch break.

Ace!

I’m still on the beach having spent the last 48hours nursing a sickly child. This will hopefully improve tomorrow.

I've not managed a swim of over a km yet but I'm getting back to almost normal swimming speed after what feels like ages out of the pool.

How's everyone else doing? Are we all off the beach?

Annoyingly, I seem to have double logged my first swim of the challenge on the Aspire website as I know I've only swum 1.74 miles so far. I'm back up to 1km at a time now, but really need to go longer. The pool I now swim in isn't very conducive to a nice, steady, long swim though.

I’m off the beach! Quick swim on Sunday, mostly swimming alongside whilst coaching my littlest.
