Woot! I agree, Chris, by the way. I was nervous playing my set moves wot I learned on youtube in case the ref stepped in. Is there a way of talking to the great god of chess.com?

Congrats Joe. Nice to have a win.

Monsenb - daily games definitely make you risk averse. Blitz and rapid on the other hand.

Group appeal is a non-starter. Has to be the person involved really. All we'd be saying is we don't think this person cheated which they probably get all the time. You'll need more than that to overturn it I'd have thought. Think if I was caught up in something like this I'd be sending links to videos I'd watched etc as part of my appeal.

If inconsistency was an algorithm cue I'd have been banned ages ago (perhaps I'm safe, as even at my best, they can't believe anyone cheating could be as bad as me )

Lots of opening courses now are based on traditional lines revamped based on computer analysis, how do they know your not following one of those? Rather than using an engine?

It can't be inconsistency as I have some games where I've managed high 90s having just struggled to get about 20 in the previous game

Bax - That's the type of thing you submit in any appeal IMO. From what I've read, an appeal guarantees human intervention.

I've had 2 games in the last week with 99%+ accuracy. If it'd happened a few weeks ago I'd be really chuffed, now I'm just worried they'll think I was cheating!

(I wasn't, opponent made early mistakes that I capitalised on based on analysis of previous games combined with having watched 6+ hours of chess YouTube every week for 2 months!)

Anyone fancy a game of 960?

I’ve not played a full 960 game yet & the rating system is rurally separate to daily chess.

That's dedicated. Funky Chicken recommended me a YouTube revision of the King's Indian after I lost to them with a poor version of that defence (thanks Funky Chicken, BTW). I've still not looked it up!

I’ve sent you a challenge Jules. I’ve never played 960 at all so it could be “interesting”...
