Have we heard back from JogWalker or Surelynot on the result of their appeals?

I mean no-one here has suggested any impropriety whatsoever, and it seems possible, given we've fallen foul twice (as a community) that we (someone else on here) will fall foul again. I mean I'm assuming they are "innocent til proven guilty", but both players said they were innocent, and other than falling foul of an algorithm, the relatively lowly rankings and experience of play suggests the algorithm is seeing issues where there aren't any. We should perhaps as a group be supporting any appeals? I mean I'm not saying we automatically trust every fetchie, just because they are a fetchie, but here it does seem like a) it's spoiling cups and leagues and b) casting aspersions on the characters of people.

In all my experience of playing chess online (which is years), only once have I suspected a computer against me, and that was in a fairly tame equal endgame, a 5 move crush was used to force me to lose a knight, and when I played it back only that exact combination - which was a very odd one ( a kind of thing a computer would see but a human wouldn't, unless it was a very good one, and the ranking of this person suggested not) worked, everything else was pretty drawnish. But I said nothing as I won the league tournament anyway.

It sounds that way, SPR, but actually it's a devious psychological tactic - just don't let chunky know! :-)

So teaching chess to children lowers their risk aversion, doesn't work for me, having a 3 day limit on moves has just made me more risk averse (as anyone in my league is realising, sorry guys!, especially after I cocked up against SPR, twice, lol). I just mull over, analyse a bit, mull over again, analyse a bit etc. etc and then invariably play a rubbish move :) In the games I'm up on, I'm convinced its because I've bored you to death, but I guess it won't last :)

That’s brilliant Joe!

Tremendously well fought from a few losing positions along the way.

Fetchaies have won a match:)
