Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Blimey that was a TV marathon!

It's not so nice here today - I was awake at silly o'clock so I've been working on my web site - my god it takes me AGES! Not very tech savvie but getting there.. and double watching The Nightmare Before Christmas (love that film)

Off for a run in a bit

And then more creative later but practical stuff.. printing on a long sleeve t-shirt hopefully - not done screen printing for way too long

Sunday chill everyone.. whatever your version of that is :-)

Love the hat MissC

I gymmed a couple of times last week, enjoying it so far. Didn't make it today as planned, as had an unexpected visit this weekend from no 2 son, and decided to drive him back as I'd yet to give his student accommodation the mum seal of approval!!! (it passed!!)
I have a PT sesh booked in for after work tomo, looking forward to that.

The person that upset me at club was at parkrun Saturday, and we exchanged pleasantries, they're totally oblivious that they've done anything to upset me. And that makes sense the more I think about it, I know nothing personal was meant. Plus, I think if they knew I'd been upset and stopped going to club because of them then they would be mortified.

I may dip my toe back in on Tuesday - if for no other reason than I've recently bought new running shoes and need to get my money's worth out of them!!

How's it all going this week then?

I'm a busy bee at work and outside of work too - shattered tonight, but in a good way. Am gearing up for a visit to our other team up in Gateshead, so i get a little run down the Tyne Friday morning as I'm staying in the centre of Newcastle - lovely!

Kwala that is good progress - I really do believe people in the main have absolutely no idea about how other people feel about what they say - imagine living life like that? The only niggle to me is I just dont know how people get to be so damn rude or so full of their own self worth and that they are allowed to run around saying what they please.. however being the adult you do right there - ignore them, and use it as a stepping stone back to something you enjoy if you want to

You will have your chance to have a say on that eventually - bide the time :-)

I'm sort of feeling I'm coming back out of the other side of the last bought of whatever - it has to be hormonal... has to be. This week I have had the baddest hot flushes yet - coming out of the pool and getting changed and Whoooooosshhhh - sweating cobs... luckily coming out of the gym to the car park is like instant air con!!

Off on a jollie this weekend which is going to 100% messy and I do not give a monkies!! Am going to embrace the mess and enjoy it

From next week I can get some kind of plan again in action

What I do know is that the morning run and swim is mighty fine - I'm not as shattered and I am creeping up slowly slowly slowly in morning miles - that makes me smile

Bit of a fail for me on the exercise front this week. Did some freelance work early on Monday morning before the day job so missed an opportunity to run or go to the gym. Then got a migraine as I was coming home and basically slept all evening. Tues morning I slept in, still recovering and Tues night I had work to do to prepare for a workshop today. But I did run for an hour this morning and feel better for that. PT session tomorrow and will do something active on Friday

Migraines suck big time, can leave me feeling washed out for a couple of days after a full on one - fortunately I don't get them often. Usually I get an aura/flashy lights thing and a bit of a headache/nausea that goes off in a couple of hours. Glad the run helped :-)

Enjoy the messiness FRU :-)

Didn't venture out to running club, mainly through cba rather than anything else - it's that thing of getting home from work and then having to go back out again. Being back at work after such a long break has been a huge change, but I can't keep using it as an excuse not to do other stuff!!

Gym tomorrow - PT session which should be interesting as I'm still aching from Monday!!!

PT session for me this morning. Still working on full range of movement in my right shoulder but it's definitely improving. First cold session of the season, so had that weird hot cold thing going on in the shower afterwards. I always feel good after my PT sessions.

Evening all

I watched the Newcastle thing and added the thread to my 'watch list' when it first started and I'm not sure I've visited since. I've had a wee lurk and rummage and would like to join you cancanners.

What's the general process?

Hi Irontubs. It is very informal... you just share what you want to but generally focussing on positives and working towards goals however small or large they are.

In other news, I've been working very hard and eating very badly and generally not meeting any of my looking-after-myself objectives.

Just popping in from midst Dublin’fest

We are having a great early night tonight, both (I’m on hols with my bestie Bruce not my fella!) shattered but have had such a great time, been just brilliant to chill out with him

Things I’ve learnt
- don’t judge yourself (your too harsh)
-live in the day, your here, now, enjoy it
- believe it when people like behind g around you (they don’t see what you see)

And there’s a poster in my room it says. “Feck it. Sure it’s grand”. In the keek calm and carry on style.

Things I want to do
- get new trainers, I’m in an old pair this holiday and I realised my bloody new ones causing my ankle issues as I’ve had not one gripe in my old pair

- start again again again with food intake alcohol (feck!) and water
- get a new notebook
- Idles playing Dublin tonight (couldn’t get tickets) get tickets next time!

We went to Howth today, the weather was outstanding, but not as outstanding as realising there was someone swimming in the Irish Sea... and then another and another. Seems quite the done thing for the awesome ladies of Howth to come down around lunchtime and go swimming

Me & Bruce stood and were so so tempted to just get in

Now, yes, I’m rambling but there’s the point
