Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ace to see all the posts... I'm in the mood for a proper new start.. back from Dublin, it was quite simply awesome we did loads of walking and exploring and eating lush food and of course some of the black stuff and a wee dram or two of Jameson's... I now need to hit that "reset" button.. having that amount of time with a close friend is however so good for the soul

Back home now, my boy is glad I've missed him but also the opportunity to have that kind of space is important for us two, and we've loads of nice stuff coming up together

Right

Birthday! Yey, have a good one Kwala!

Morning! all I can feel the positive vibes ^^^^^ radiating off the page :-)

I didn't run yesterday, i was unexpectedly struck with horrible stomach cramps - thank you mother nature- and between that and my earache I comforted myself with some sugar and a night on the sofa.

I did however do the scheduled run this morning and bought a hot water bottle on the way to work.

Happy birthday Kwala, have a super fabulous day x

Got 3 fine today whoop!

I’m being very lazy.. needed a day to just chill after the excitements of Dublin

Took my rucksack and ran upto town, always such a good idea to mix the run in with a chore, I also discovered some great loo’s.. in the baby room there’s free wipes!! Oh my god how brilliant that is.. run to town with a clean dry top in the sack and bingo quick wipe n go fresh as a daisy

Lol. Magic!

Evening all

Am still lurking and gradually getting back out running. Setting the summer road bike up on the turbo this weekend so I can still cycle. Have also booked swimming lesson so I can learn to breathe and swim correctly.

Dublin sounds like good fun and happy birthday Kwala

Nice running IronTubs

Happy birthday Kwala - sorry it’s a bit late.
Swim lessons sound great Mandy - are you tempted to the dark side?

Nice caring for self and still getting a run in Irontubs.
I managed to resist the office doughnuts at lunchtime but did fall into the secret biscuit stash this afternoon.

Will be an early night for PT session at 6am tomorrow.

That was a rude awakening this morning - however up I popped... a 2mile COLD run and then 40 mins swimming

I can only do breast stroke so I'm noting that I'm not that energetic in the pool - however it's still got to be good for me

I've had to go back to my old trainers... all the pain in my ankles "gone" - OMG - I was a bit miffed then to think I kept running in the new one's DUH... they will be fine for walking in but I'm staying in my old one's for now... means I can regain 2 or 3 mile weekday runs without the impact of shite trainers!!

Lesson learnt

Had boiled eggs and spinach for breakfast... re-discovered the power of eggs in Dublin.. so let's see what they can do for me

Dublin was ace.. we stayed in the Coombes area - so we saw proper Dublin and because we were outside of the centre it meant we explored loads more.. totally fell in love with it - and we got the train out to Howth - 1055 beautiful!

Scribbler I have already competed (very slowly) in 2 tri's which I really enjoyed and swimming was my weak point. My friend who has swum the channel a couple of times has just set up her own coaching business so perfect timing. She will no doubt try and tempt me to swim in the sea but I wont leave the safety of the seafront.
