FRU (KeepTheFaith)
Just popping in from midst Dublin’fest
We are having a great early night tonight, both (I’m on hols with my bestie Bruce not my fella!) shattered but have had such a great time, been just brilliant to chill out with him
Things I’ve learnt - don’t judge yourself (your too harsh) -live in the day, your here, now, enjoy it - believe it when people like behind g around you (they don’t see what you see)
And there’s a poster in my room it says. “Feck it. Sure it’s grand”. In the keek calm and carry on style.
Things I want to do - get new trainers, I’m in an old pair this holiday and I realised my bloody new ones causing my ankle issues as I’ve had not one gripe in my old pair
- start again again again with food intake alcohol (feck!) and water - get a new notebook - Idles playing Dublin tonight (couldn’t get tickets) get tickets next time!
We went to Howth today, the weather was outstanding, but not as outstanding as realising there was someone swimming in the Irish Sea... and then another and another. Seems quite the done thing for the awesome ladies of Howth to come down around lunchtime and go swimming
Me & Bruce stood and were so so tempted to just get in
Now, yes, I’m rambling but there’s the point

Self care is a skill I need to master, simple things even like taking the meds prescribed by my GP,, she wouldn't have given me them if I didn't need them!

The Scribbler
Howth is lovely - have a grand time in Dublin FRU. I did a new session at the gym this morning mixing up slam ball and kettlebells. Enjoyed being in the workout room without the annoying music and with a couple of other people doing their own sessions, rather than in the main gym area. Don't like the rubber covered kettlebells which leave black marks all over my hands and don't turn over in my grip so easily, but I think I can live with that.
Plan this week is: Mon: Run - DONE Tues: Gym session - DONE Weds: Swim before work Thurs: PT session Fri: Gym session Sat: parkrun then family time as my little bro is visiting Sun: family time

Week 2 of comeback 1st aim to run 20 minutes non stop
20 minutes run walk ATM 2 minutes is hard but achievable

My Bodycombat class has been cancelled this evening (boo!) but as I have my kit with me and don't need to go home first I can (AND WILL) go straight to the gym anyway and do a weights session. That's why I joined. And I have the routine that the instructor worked out for me on my phone so no excuses.

I've been delaying my run all day so now I'm left with the post work option. As I planned to run at lunch time I have my kit in the office so will get changed before I leave and then go straight out when I get back, hopefully one less barrier if I'm already changed and don't go into the house!

Went to club today. Slow but enjoyable couple of miles - funnily enough with the person that upset me, who couldn't have been more encouraging tonight!! Still gymming too and think the combo of gym and running is going to work well for me

Seem to be doing ok here, 1/2 stone off since back off holidays and at least 2 runs a week and a weights session. Just need to build on that

Swim done. Memo to self - don't go what looks like the quickest way from the pool to work. It's not at that time in the morning! Had to sneakily eat my porridge at my desk
