Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I don't have a sweet tooth but even I get a sweet craving mid-afternoon if I'm tired. At home I eat a couple of dates, which seems to do the trick.

Yesterday I gave into tiredness and did absolutely nothing in the evening, followed by an early night. Feeling much perkier now: yet another reminder that I need to focus on the foundations of CAN.

Morning Canners (?!)
Beautiful sunny, frosty day here and I'm contemplating a run outside this afternoon when I've finished work (for the first time since 21st September) - I CAN do it, can't I?
I have discovered this week that I CAN successfully reduce my food intake and lose weight - 2lbs down and I haven't had to starve myself.

It's been a good week because I ran on a treadmill on Monday and I have walked every day too - not long walks but I have managed to fit some exercise into every working day.

Now all I need to do is keep doing it .....

Morning all and great result Woo.

Been a good week here to - back on track food wise and 3lb down since Monday. Have only managed one run so far this week but managed to do minimum of 14k steps each day.

Off to London for a BC training day tomorrow - hopefully will get a couple walks in to and fro Kings Cross and Venue.

Woo - we will keep it going - we have each others backs :-)

Nice going Woo and Moo :-)

I'm still adjusting to the clocks changing and keep waking up very early (around 4-4:30am). I did that this morning and then went back to sleep until 6:30am which meant I didn't have muchtime to fit in a run. I could have put it off until this afternoon (I get an early finish on Fridays), but figured it was better to do something than put it off. So up and out for 25 mins.

That means I can get some things to the post office and do some writing this afternoon.

Glad to hear the positivity! I've lost all my good habits since holiday but I CAN pull myself together. Had an avocado for breakfast and went for a (slow) 3 mile run. Also flossed my teeth :-)

Was delighted to discover I only put on about 0.5 kg on hols.

That's pretty impressive for holiday weight gain, MissC! I seem to put on at least half a stone whenever I go on holiday 🙄 Nothing to do with me being a pig, of course! ;)

Had a good sleep last night, and slept in this morning, so I can feel myself coming round a bit more which is good

I'll share with you all that I'm 100% in menopause but I also think I have an other issue.. it could be something like Diabetes but that's me self diognosing

It's time for me to take notice and stop avoiding dealing with these two... I must attack food next

Been lazy

Im learning positive ways to deal with the exhaustion, they just frustrate me. For example I wanted to run 5, then 4 today, but I knew I'd send myself backwards if I do that so this weekend just goes into the health rest bracket? Is that a thing we can have? It must be as it allows us to give our body what it wants when it's giving signs of exhaustion

I'm going to spent November doing run and swim

Today
- rest a bit
- run 3
- water intake
- eat clean

Smile!!

I'm seriously considering entering a half marathon. Is 5 months long enough to train from a 3 miles run/walk start?

FRU if you are exhausted I'm afraid you do need to rest! Maybe a little chat with the doc?
