While perusing the forums rather than just my watch list I spotted this thread. We are looking to get a campervan in the near future. We have a boat now I think there’s room in our lives for both so kind of looking at what’s about and I’d happily sell my car for it. But it’s knowing what to go for if we’re planning travelling Europe when we retire we’re thinking something bigger? But I do love the VW but also don’t have a big budget esp if it’s a pre boat purchase. I suppose we could get a small one now then when boat goes upgrade? Interesting reading back about having a tent too to move things out while parked up. |

My suggestion would be to hire before you buy. We have a 7m Moho which is great for ‘living’ in, but can be a nuisance to drive / park. However, I think a VW would be just too small for ‘living’. You could also go to the caravan and motorhome show at the nec in October for some inspiration.
