Unless, of course you're on the NC500. Might have less joy finding an Ikea up there!!

I replaced my fully built T4 with a LWB T5 that had nothing and have used it as a van. It now has a leisure battery and solar panel plus the pop top. These were the things I needed and will/do use. I know I want a heater for CX season so that will happen but then it will stop. Cooking has always been done in the awning using a small gas hob.

I think once we’ve got the hang of it I’ll revert to cooking on the Trangia outside, go to be better than steaming up the van or making everything smell of bacon I found my whistle kettle, melamine crockery, cutlery and a collapsible washing up bowl and a tiny travel kettle that runs on 12v or 240 and was dad’s from his sailing days - it does seem to still work

We have just cleared out loads of things we don't use in the caravan, but it took a few trips away to realise what we did and didn't use.
Looking forward to hearing about your trips.

Mr Jelly decided Warwick or Stratford on Avon would be nice this weekend! We decided on Warwick because it’s close to Parkrun! I’m finally going to run my 50th 😂 hope he can get it booked!

We've just been away for the Jubilee weekend and have come to the conclusion that we're not going to bother with the faff of the full awning. We bought the Easy Camp canopy which slides into the awning rail and erects quickly with two poles which are pegged with ropes. We then used the windbreak to make our seating area more private, and it's soooo much easier than erecting and dismantling the awning for a single night.

That sounds similar to what we use Reiver. Basically sides that slide into the canopy. Takes around 15 minutes to set up and you have the freedom to only put on the required sides (ie where the wind/rain is coming from).

We don't bother putting up the awning for short stays - Mr GM likes to take it down the day before we are leaving so it gets packed away dry with no morning dew/condensation, so it isn't worth putting up unless we are on a pitch for at least 4 nights.
