I saw that - thanks Reiver. It’s very exciting and there should be some great films from around there.

If money was no object, I’d love to volunteer with Northumberland Wildlife Trusts.

Pairs of GSW and Greenfinch both fetching food regularly since I came home a couple of days ago which is great to see. Also at least one Willow Tit making repeated visits. So it looks like I have a number of good nests close by.

Had a phone call this morning to update me there are now two youngsters in the wood pigeon nest. Though the little nest watcher is also concerned about a big seagull over the road.

And we got home from nursery this afternoon, and we found two parts of an egg underneath the nest, so hopefully it means at least one has safely hatched. Have to say whichever parent is on the nest, I keep hypothesising its the female, is sat very tight pretty much all day long.

My sister has a starling nest in her roof. Last Saturday they were still in the nest, today 4 fledglings flying around. Yesterday I saw 2 thrushes at Cross Flatts parkrun after not seeing any for years, and a red kite near the White Rose Centre on the way home. Saw a jay today.
