Fragile Do Not Bend
Found a nuthatch in the garden that I think hit a window and had damaged a wing by the looks of it. Tried to catch it as it was going to be an easy snack for my cat, but it could hop and flutter so it reached a tree and made its way up.
Safe from our cat but I fear it’s going to end up as food for a magpie or a jay or something

HowFar?
There were a couple of common sandpiper down at lough Keenaghan. There was also a mink, on the opposite bank from where I was. I was able to watch it as it made its way along the bank for 70 or 80 yards, before it disappeared behind a low dry stone wall.

Surelynot I saw a greenfinch a couple of days ago whilst out running. I can't remember the last time I saw one!

My back garden is turning into quite a bird nursery, lots of juvenile great tits and starlings, as well as nuthatches and a GSW. Strangely I’ve seen no juvenile blue tits yet.

Whilst out on my run yesterday. I found a small magpie caged in a larsen trap. How is this not illegal? When I set it free it ran I to the shrubs. I have since learnt the monsters who do this sort of thing usually break their wings in three places.

I don't like magpies... But that is no reason to torture them...
