Lovely view of local buzzard as it flew across the road in front of us on our morning dog walk

I seem to have an adundance of Bullfinches at the moment. I'm not sure if there are more or it's just because they're very visible at the moment with the lack of foliage but they seem to be everywhere. The way they are spread out and in pairs (the males are already in full breeding plummage and looking very resplendent) suggests they are breeding pairs rather than a winter influx but I'm not a 100%?

Other highlights of the morning run were a having a Goldcrest flit along the side of one path with me for 30-40 yards and a Grey Wagtail on the patio just after I got home.

Pied wagtail in the garden this morning. Stuck around for quite a while, hopping along the fence and path.

Cormorant today, watched it fish, the water was very clear, they're like torpedoes.

FF - I am envious of your bullfinch abundance. Love to see them, especially in the snowy conditions we have at the moment. Definitely on of my top 5 birds.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good bird jigsaw? I want one to send to my dad and one for me to do.

Barn owl puzzle looks good :-)

A bird that’s doing well here atm (although what’s currently looking like a fairly bad winter won’t help them) :-(

I'm a member and I've already had a look at 3 of those. Think I'm going to order the 2 I like for now and maybe some others later down the line. My dad's feeling v isolated, so hoping to cheer him up as he's got a lot of birdies in his garden which are featured in the RSPB jigsaws.

Other recommendations welcomed, particularly charitable and small independent businesses.
