Just when we thought we were heading for the first winter in over 20 without a resident Great Northern Diver one appears on Xmas morning. Fingers crossed it's our returning regular and it's here to stay until May 🤞

I took this photo this morning in the woods across the road from where we live. I thought the boxes were bat boxes, but maybe I'm wrong. Or was this little chap looking to muscle in on there territory?

They look like bat boxes. At least like the one I got as a pressie.
