I was quite tempted by one of those, Rosehip, but Saturday is looking like my first ever Cumbrian parkrun followed by a couple of Wainwrights. (I need to work out my V50 total to give NE, so I can have an active target in the sidebar too! I think it’s about 80.) Gromit, if the sun is shining I’ll expect you to be cheering me on at the halfway point! 😀 |

I was booked in for the dirty double but had to scratch both at short notice. Sounds like they might even manage to run the boats this year 😃 after last year being so wet that the race parking was in Penrith. Sunday race was beautiful weather, just the parking area was waterlogged from the day before.

Velociraptor, probably Rothay Park on account of easy logistics. That's a relief - I was worried you were going to say Fell Foot - on a week I won't be there to say hello. Enjoy Rothay - not the most exciting route but it is flat (though likely a bit muddy in the field) and the people are great |

Enjoy Rothay - not the most exciting route but it is flat (though likely a bit muddy in the field) and the people are great D2 is accompanying me to get a weekend in the Lakes. We walked through Rothay Park on The Lap so it's a good choice this time. And from Low Wray it's a good option. Others including Fell Foot and Keswick remain on the To Do list. There's probably time for a coffee afterwards if any local Fetchies fancy an outing! |
