This decision has to do with the fact that I am going in November... I have always wanted to cycle in Sicily (and walk) and November is actually perfect! Low season so cheap.and quiet but perfect cycling temperatures.

Pyrenees in November = snow on mountain passes. I shall revisit the idea another time though :) I have even remembered that my old trainer now has a house in the Pyrenees somewhere and organises cycling training camps...

Hanneke - we were in Sicily the first week of May, it was lovely - not too busy, not too hot and the sea was just right for swimming
