I've never been on their via ferrata - I've been waiting for my kids to be old enough / big enough.

Anybody tried it? Would you recommend it?

Would imagine it’s not cheap either as it’s noted as ‘limited availability’!!

In-laws bought me Via Ferrara extreme for my 50th. Did it once I’d lost enough weight! Really enjoyed it but there was a fair bit of hanging around before the bridge due to number of people.

Having decided that I really didn't enjoy the GoApe thing, there's absolutely no way you'd get me up there!

I fancy a go at the Via Ferrata but haven't forgiven the slate mine for the time Mark Weir got my mam and dad worried when he snatched his 15 minutes of fame the time the OMM got washed out. I wasn't anywhere near, I was doing the Snowdonia marathon, but one event called "marathon" in a national park is much the same as another to my folks.

I did a via Ferrata in Bavaria as a military adventurous training thing. Coming from a climbing background but out of shape it was not technical but physically challenging. I have never been confident above HS so not sure if I have a head for heights! (That said more harder climbs are VDiff/Severe - you don’t get many grotty HVS chimneys - I enjoyed HS. Think I’d quite like the Honister thing. Here in Spain there’s a walking route with chains for your hands!
