I always think that people make the descent off Catbells a bigger deal than it deserves. To the the east of the summit plateau are some nice grassy ramps and you can get down to the saddle pretty quickly. Steep though, so decent studs are essential. Once at the saddle you zip down the TWA/AW descent to the W or if you're being naughty and on an FGR attempt you can go E around the erosion control barriers and across the road to the Old Brandlehow Estate.
