Good to see the law becomes before a government. I don't think it means an end to Brexit at all, it will mean parliament gets a say in negotiations on Brexit, os that when it comes to passing the law enabling Brexit, that will go relatively smoothly. |

If MPs only ruled according to the public view, we'd still have slavery, the death penalty, homosexuality would still be illegal and women wouldn't have the vote. Sometimes the great British public needs to be saved from itself. |

I may also say that we are possibly in the midst of a democratic and constitutional crisis brought about by a weak fuckwit prime minster called Cameron, if only that arsehole had a pair of balls.

I cannot help but smile at the irony that the Government could end up appealing this at the European courts! Will lead to some very "interesting" discussions about democracy if parliament gets in the way of triggering article 50

It's not going to, that's not the point (all the remainers have made that point too), the point is to you can't pass laws (even if it is a law to undo a law) unless it goes through parliament. Which is correct, you NEVER want a government that does whatever it wants, regardless. of anything or anyone else. The disucssion will be about hwo we go about our future after exiting, i.e. what will immigration look like (points based etc.) rather than cooked up by May on the back of a fag packet (Re: Grammar schools).

I would imagine that the most relieved people are those who voted out as a protest without understanding things such as amenities in their community being funded by EU grants, closely followed by those who were taken in by lies on buses.
