I was amused to hear someone on R4 this morning say "breakfast" as if they were going to say "brexit".

OK, this shit just got real. Look at my post Brexit Toblerone! Apparently due to "increased costs". |

I'd laugh but that is an awful thing to do to a Toblerone, they are wonderful

That's nothing. I hear that Twix's will soon contain just a single stick and in the additional space there will be a rolled up apology note from Farage for shafting our economy. It will be printed on a Union Jack background and will give us all an inner glow as we soak up our much improved sovereignty, happy in the knowledge it was all a price worth paying. |

Walker's crisps are going up in price. This is just too much. Boris. You lying, two timing, self-serving, posh toss pot. |

Since when did spuds come from Europe - they are one of the crops we really can grow. They might be putting the price up but it ain't brexit related

Same with Unilever, it is the way capitalism works. Create a climate of uncertainty where prices may have to go up and suddenly everybody puts their prices up. Can you imagine the hoohaa it would cause in the shareholders meeting if everybody else had put their prices up and Walkers/Unilever hadn't? That would be just like flushing money down the drain. It's like petrol prices, as engineers tell you the cheaper the petrol the heavier it is. That's why it takes longer to get to the pumps after prices have fallen. But when it's expensive, it's really light and it gets there immediately. And Binks tells us corporations are more trustworthy than governments... |

If you think you can make/package/market/sell crisps cheaper, be my guest...
