I know! I was told they increased my direct debit by £67 because I no longer got the govt grant. I tried explaining to them that that didn't mean I suddenly consumed £67 more electricity but I failed! |

“It could also raise the question of whether direct debits set by suppliers in reaction to the energy price hikes have been much higher than they needed to be." Definitely in my case... Based on the "average household" they say, which I am not!!! Tiny home, one person... Not family home, 4 people... |

You mean you're not a "typical household" meeting a single monolithic standard that all must conform to at all times?

Yup... Sadly, this means that my direct debit is based on a household that consumes more than twice as much as I do. Same issue with water. I get billed £200 per 6 months, double of what I consume... Because that is average. You consume much below average, so we must bill you average... And yes, I do have metres! |

Hooray! My alternative fuel payment of £200 has been approved and should be in my account in the next 5 days! I had given up on it... But desperately need it! |

I've been told by British Gas that mine is there, but not "visible" until my next bill comes through.

My electricity supplier insisted I wasn't eligible, so I applied on a Govt website. It is coming via the council.

I applied online as soon as it hadn’t appeared on my April British gas statement. The email I had back said to allow 3 months to process *if* I’m eligible. Not holding out much hope, they wanted receipts for alternative fiel payemnts made from 1Sept 22 and I last ordered oil on 28th August. Managed to screenshot the receipt so it showed delivery day (in sept) rather than order date, so keeping fingers crossed. Bit pissed off BG didn’t do it automatically, but they said they’re just going by a list given to them. |

I had similar RH and therefore not much hope but it took much less than the 3 months to process it. I had oil delivered when I was in hospital, as I had ordered it the week before. Therefore had to turn the bins upside down to find the receipt. Which I managed and photographed.
