I am thinking my very first experience of a ring doughnut would have been fresh from a vendor on holiday at the seaside......IoW in all probability, Sandown.

its got to be a doughnut from Barnecuts bakery in Cornwall, there are none better

on its own, jam dribbling down chin and not caring :-)

I like Krispy Kremes. The custard ones with chocolate on top.

But yes, fresh and hot from a stall at the seaside.
