Oooooo doughnuts.
I'm a fan of the iced ring, personally (though I'll not pass up a jammy one if they're on offer.
I can't be doing with custard or chocolate fillings though, I find them sickly), and the best ones IMHO used to come from a bakers in Bath by the train station. They had proper set icing that you could hold without getting your fingers sticky.

My dad ran an independent bakery when I was small. I also spent many a Saturday putting the jam in jam doughnuts 🙂
I’ll concede that on occasion a glazed ring doughnut or a yum yum will do when they’ve run out of jam

As a youngster, I spent a fair amount of time at my Nan’s, and a great treat was accompanying her on her trip to the bakery, where she’d buy me an iced ring doughnut (I still have a soft spot for them).
I like a regular raspberry jam doughnut too, but prefer them the custard ones.

Jam doughnut covered in sugar is lush.
Anything else I can take or leave.
I'm known as a bit of a human dustbin in the office so they're always shocked when I walk by a box of krispy kremes and don't grab one. I think they're OK but nothing more than that.
I also don't like coffee Me and Gobi are chalk and cheese
