I haven't had one in ages. I could do one now though! Love an apple one - do doughnuts count if in finger shape? As my wife is Spanish - do churros count? Churros con chocolate! Mmmmmm. Best doughnuts ever were the bags of small doughnuts we bought from a wee kiosk/van on the seafront at Grandcamps-sur-mer. Not sure if it was the company (I was 18, touring with great mates and in love) or the lovely taste, or the weather or quite what. But it’s one of my happiest memories.

Yeah it's great. We're lucky - we visit family a couple of times a year in El Valle de Lecrin which is very close to this amazing bike hire place sierranevada.cc Some cracking climbs.

Many years ago in another life I used to make the fresh donut mix for the ring donut machines at Thorpe Park. Frankly nothing beats those, still hot/warm and slightly oily, just dunked in sugar. |

Favourite is definitely seaside freshly made donuts, with cinnamon sugar 👌 Only made better by a swirl of Mr Whippy ice cream and maple syrup flavour sauce being placed on top.
