Ah - it read like you thought it was too hot. I have chili in most of my lunches and dinners (dinners and teas)

Started a new book today - Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I think you’d like it, Sharkie.

That looks lovely dio. One of the lockdown things I enjoyed was making the most of what we had in rather than normal life if popping to the shops for missing ingredients.

That pie sounds good, Mazlin.
I do like a nice pie.

Tomorrow's newt will be going to work, in my actual office, for the first time since March 12 last year.
That's 349 days.

My newt today was doing a different walk with the dog. It is somewhere I have walked before but not for a long time although I run it from time to time. I saw a heron take off almost right in front of us and then another one (I'm fairly sure - I didn't have binoculars to confirm) flying around above the river a couple of fields away. I also got dragged to the door of the pet shop on the road out of our village (which I think is one of the reasons I rarely walk Wanda that way!)

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
