:-)
My newt was to have microwave Indian and watch a violent film (birds of prey) with mrS. Neither of these things would be to C9 taste so her being away has been a night out at home

Just remembered another one. I bought a new drink in the supermarket this evening. It was on special offer or I would have dismissed it as poncey marketing nonsense - It's called London Essence - and the flavour is white peach and jasmine 'crafted soda'. I assume even in dry January they probably couldn't shift too much of that in Ipswich.... but it's not bad actually............ for overpriced fizzy pop with a fancy name!

This thread doesn’t half fly along! Great to see so much newting :-)

Mine is more of a project. My great-great-grandmother wrote her memoirs in about 1932. We have a hard copy but nothing electronic so I’m transcribing it - all 147 typed A4 pages! I’m about halfway through and am just about to start on the chapter where she describes being in Germany at the start of WWI and how they managed to get back to England and from there back to South Africa. Fascinating stuff!

My newts of the day goes to....

Yay!
Good choice HP
But that is brilliant Pothunter
This mornings newt was to wake without a fuzzy head. Normally being child free with mrS like that we’d have a drink to mark it as being special. It was better without last night

Homeless Kodo
Newt book for today and a Fetch fast from now until 21:00, which’ll be newt...training’s automatically imported from my watch so I’m not counting that.

Great choice, hp! Can we see the video, Maz?
Love that you're transcribing those memoirs, Pothunter - that must be very interesting.
Not sure what my newt is going to be today. Will report back later.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
