I've been ironing!
First time in... I genuinely have no idea how long. Years, definitely.

I bought some newt able linen for Easter and decided to actually iron it before putting it on the table. Wonders never cease.
Now we have a lovely, pretty, springy, coordinated table with a yellow cloth and blue runner and napkins that perfectly match the bowl of blue grape hyacinths (I don't know if they are every any colour, now I think about it), and a green flocked plastic bunny called Angus. I'm sure Jesus would be very impressed.

Rae have you purposefully only find newts that begin with t? Ironing is well impressive for me. Your table sounds delightful.

Rory and I and my Bubble Buddy have been to the beach for the first time this year. I let him off the lead (not a Newt, but I very very rarely do it because he Cannot Be Trusted). I think he might be planning a quiet afternoon now. :-)

Nothing newt oday for me. It's Sunday and time for rest - and no, having a Sunday off is not a newt either :-) But I've loved the thread, thanks all.

Lunch outside!

Also, I cleared up the yerba mansa, a medicinal from New Mexico. For the first time I have left them outside in their trough this winter. It has been mild and it is a lot of work moving them into the cold frame. No losses and some bonus new plantlets I have potted up!

What a lovely day here :)
Lunch sandwich eaten sitting in the garden - think that's a newt for the year.
Ran 1km "reps" at a sort of tempo pace, think that is a completely new newt.

Brilliant stuff
First time I’ve ever had this colour nails and been trusted with some of c9 sparkly topcoat Sharks :-)
MrS and I have ditched c9 and both shown each other a new route. Got back a bit late for the football but it was so gorgeous out there it was worth it - a morning walk definitely a newt

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
