It's been just lovely reading all those upbeat posts and watching spring arriving in its varied forms. I think I've managed to find a newt every day, which I'm very pleased about - it shows there are lots of good things around if we remember to notice them.

I haven't found or instigated as many newts as some of you, but just thinking about the good things that have happened in the day or what new signs of spring I have seen has helped keep the fugg away. The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
