Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The road past the Highland cattle has reopened so I had my first run down there today for a couple of weeks, and the coos are back! Pictures on my blog:

Lovely new road surface too, the potholes were needing a run up to get over in places!

Those coos are gorgeous! I have stiff to tackle my oven, just need to get on with it.

2 newts today...new street walked on the way home from the dog walk (which resulted in 2 great treasure hunt finds), plus these winked at me and stole some of my money:

I'm getting a train for what I think might be the first time in 2021.

First genuine outdoor running race of the year! Ok only a virtual 10k and I'm in rubbish shape, but at least I tried. Heart was willing (due to all the zwifting) but the flesh was decidedly weak. At least, the calf muscles were. Expect a bit of discomfort tomorrow. Woohoo racing!

Some fab newts today.

I have never cleaned this oven, which we've had for around 8 years. I have paid other people to do it, but not for some years. It's vile.

I have also ordered and received two new masks and a set of bowl covers.

And today I examined my first PhD.

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
