I paid over £100 to have the range cleaned when we moved in 8 years ago, no idea what it would cost now.

My newt today, just had the kitchen fitter come to discuss a new kitchen, seems like it will be autumn before we can get it done.

My newt this morning seemed so nothing but really worked. Once Jess the dog and I were through the gate to the Rec (aka Venue of Legends because my old sprint group used to train there) we turned right rather than the usual left.

It's surprising what a difference the anti clockwise loop made to the third of a mile round the rec.

It costs £75 to get my oven cleaned. It’s a sort-of range but only has one oven. Which is currently filthy. Must get them to come and sort it out.

I'm having a COVID test at 1pm - my first time of being asked to by the Zoe app. The last one I had was in June, before I had my hand opp.

Once home there was a small package for me - two new masks. I reckon mask wearing will go on a good while longer for various indoor things including public transport which I use a lot, and HellsBells is closing her Etsy shop on Sunday.... we don't want her to be left with a load of unsold masks do we?

ANYWAY the masks are lovely. And now Raffo has just ordered two, too (lego and aardvarks).

I am far too tight to pay £40 for someone else to clean my oven! I bought some new stuff I saw advertised on tv but haven’t tried it yet! Astonish oven and grill, just read that it’s vegan 😂 sorry i am not purposefully wanting to insult any vegans here, but my initial reaction was but why would you want to eat it, I know it’s just as much about not using animal products as it is not eating them, they didn’t used to call me ‘nice but slow’ for nothing!

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
