It sounds revolting, Linds - but then I dislike both bananas and condensed milk so am hardly a fair judge. It's a newt though.

Did you hear DA's bro talking on the Today prog? Final half hour I think.

I have an Alpkit waterproof, their high end one, and it has a good hood!
I have a lot of hair, it was below my bum about a month ago, so a friend cut a fair bit off the bottom. Now it no longer looks straggly and it is just bow my waist I think. On the bike, I put a series of elastic bands around it all the way down. Dodgy shoulder paired with excessive length if hair = no.plait.

For running I either tie the whole thing around itself and use a clip to hold it into a messy bun. That fits under several good hoods and good hats.
I also find a good cap can remedy a bad hood... As can a woolly hat. Some hoods are made to go over a climbing helmet, so bulking up with hat and hair helps.

Oops, return too soon:

Or I leave it in a ponytail, depending in cap, hat or no head covering and which one.

That's a good price gg, a half zip lightens the jacket and it's one less place to let the rain in.

I can’t cope with hoods unless it’s absolutely drowning with rain. Love hats though.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
