I think so - mine is a pretty purple and about 7 years old, which is why it's too small at the moment. Packs up small and doesn't weigh much, kept me dry but could be a bit "boil-in-the-bag same as any waterproof - but I missed having pockets.

My newt today was going wrong twice on the same run. It's been a while since I ran the paths I did today and the last time was with EdJ, who generally knows where he's going - the first time I was on the right path, but the signs had been removed and I wasn't 100% sure, so did an extra mile running back the way I'd come and far enough along the track to work out I was right all along. The second time I was paying too much attention to the herd of cattle and not enough to the direction I was running.
Must take more care with navigation!

Innov come up a bit small -especially if you like a jumper or two underneath as I do. Hmm, perhaps I'm the oddity there and most people would just have a thin top on underneath?

Anyway I bought a size up.

I saw a lady walking both her dog and her cat today (the cat may have just decided to follow but was being encouraged the same way by its owner.) I have never seen anyone do that before. Luckily she advised that the cat was hiding under a nearby bush as I went past her and even more luckily Wanda didn't appear to notice it!

We used to have someone near home who would walk the dog and the cat would go with them. Very funny and cute

Thanks re sizing Sharkie I tend to size up as I don’t like to be restricted. My other problem with my ronhill is it’s really big now as I’ve lost a bit of weight. Might be time to continue the spending.

I'm going to declare today's newt of the day now, as it won't be beaten :)
Mrs Jigs for registering interest in volunteering for helping at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year.

It holds such hope of us returning to some kind of normal in the future. We are getting there a little bit at a time. We have all done so well to manage such a significant change to our lifestyles over the past year and here we are finding newts every day and keeping upbeat. We will come through this and most of us won't take simple things, such as meeting a friend for coffee, driving to go for a run or walk in a forest, going on holiday or attending mass events, for granted again. I got excited when I read Mrs Jigs' newt and that is why I chose it heart

That is 110% the right choice!! That we have adapted and businesses working with restrictions to survive is just heart warming.

(I’m still hoping I get to Invictis as a volunteer I volunteered at the trails in 2019 and it was the most heart warming and inspiring thing I’ve ever done)

My newt is using the little water spray on my indoor plant leaves. mrS found both halves at the weekend and put it back together, probably thinking it a bit weird it was in disarray. I couldn’t get it to work after about half an hour of trying and had resorted to lugging a washing up bowl around and dipping the dispenser into it

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
