That is quite funny HP. I can see the dog looking at you enquiringly. I am definitely going to do 2 today, I don’t always end the work day properly so that would be an entertaining habit to get into. I mostly wfh even outside of a pandemic so there aren’t too many people to look at me askew

Dipps - you just made me realise that OK is what I say when I am about to get up off the sofa to do something. The dog invariably thinks (hopes) that something might be a dog walk. My OK celebration might need to be swapped or have a very different tone.

Oh Hann that sounds dreadful I’m so sad for you as you say loss of a friendship over something so simple that a conversation could have solved.

I like the new habits HP I seem to form bad habits (wine on an evening) better than good ones (switch that wine for water)

Our dog thinks (hopes) when you move there may be a treat in it for her.

Good luck at the dentist CC2

I’ve just been contacted by a friend from canoe club suggesting we put together a session on anxiety for club members. She works in adult mental health so we both have professional knowledge that is useful. We’ll gloss over the irony of me delivering something on anxiety when I have a huge fear of capsizing.

Is it irony, or does that just mean you have particularly relevant experience?

Sooo many newts to choose from. Loving the running firsts, or firsts for a long time. Hanneke, you’re really on a roll with newts too!

But I’m going with SarahWoo’s Mother’s Day card from her stepson - that’s a significant milestone that I’m sure reflects long-term hard work and persistence on her part.

I thought that was a lovely one too. :)

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
