I tried a new breakfast today, baked porridge, it was lovely.

Well done Kirsty.

The baked porridge didn't appeal ... until if I thought of it as crumble minus the fruit underneath ...then yum!

Baked porridge? Isn’t that flapjack?!

Excellent jeffing!

I’ll be off for my Jeff in an hour or so once lunch has settled

Daft question- what is jeffing? Is it run-walking or something else?

I've had some newt garlic bread. The first bread I've had this year. Mr GM was baking some and it smelt too good not to try a bit of it. I'll jeff it off later.

Yes, jeffing = run walking. Named after Jeff Galloway who invented the concept. Or something.

Baked porridge is literally just oats and milk (with added fruit/spice/nuts whatever) so healthier than flapjacks for breakfast!

Jeffing is run/walking to set times, as opposed to random walk breaks when you need a breather. So jeffing could be, for example, 30:30, 60:30 (seconds) or 3:1, 5:1, 10:1 (minutes).

You learn something new every day. I always thought jeffing was a way of saying effing and jeffing :-)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
