Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have been deep cleaning the bathroom, for the first time in too long, and finally getting around to sorting out some things that have been waiting to be sorted (also for too long) in the dressing room - including identifying some old kit that I don't like or use anymore to be got rid of.

It's all in fine enough condition, so for it's just in a bag waiting for the charity shops to open again, but most importantly it's out of my kit drawers :D

This morning I ran the new Forest Rec parkrun route (the old course crossed an access road and there was an incident with a driver who didn't want to wait while the runners went past, complained to the council, yada yada, so it got cancelled even before Covid while they found a new route). It's not as good. Awkward tight turns including a U turn at the bottom of a hill to then go straight back up it. Better than no parkrun at all though.

A newt that made me happy today is to see one of my jeffed run intervals started with a 9 today and a few others started with a 10, so I'm getting faster and yet it felt like I was running steady. I ran at 9:59 pace :) I'm not sure when this last happened.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
