But my exciting newt of the magnitute of the home grown citrus has been put on brine yesterday, after 2 weeks of soaking in water... Watch this space!
And yes Sharkie: fresh list! That has been a while, almost a newt in itself but the run is going to be the one today! No running breaks in a walk, no! I shall do running gear and fell shoes and do a short loop through the fields behind the chapel. Run/walk but my first ever since Sushi helped me around an agonising Fetch mile 😀

Oh and... I don't like monkey puzzles but someone who I follow on instagram regularly photograhs a copse of them somewhere on a hill and like that, they are actually gorgeous!

When we were little we used to walk to see a monkey puzzle tree in someone’s garden, we loved it.

There was a monkey puzzle tree in a front garden that we used to walk past to get to and from primary school. Years later, I lived in the house opposite with my ex husband.

I love monkey puzzle trees, not my favourite tree though, think silver birch is my favourite, although I’ve just remembered seeing photos of rainbow eucalyptus trees, which are pretty special!

If anyone was wondering, that 'inner warrior' home workout was quite fun, and very sweat inducing.

I also like a monkey puzzle tree - I know they're not native to North West Europe, but they're still pretty funky. I wouldn't add one to this garden, though.

We have a silver birch a small acer, and recently added a mini magnolia called Susan

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
