Our big and much hoped for newt hasn't happened. Thank goodness for the Black Jack ice creams to compensate (and a bigger than usual delivery of beer from our local pub - the number of pints ordered is also a newt but it would be better if the pub was actually open!)

Hmmm newt for me today has to be a new exercise in PT - actually several new exercises. One was narrow squat into wide squat. Another was like a burpee but just the end bit from a plank position.

The light nights have brought everyone out of hibernation and our evening walks are becoming quite sociable. It made me realise that after 5 years in the village we know lots of people at least to say hello to.

Sorry to hear this BBL. glad you had black Jack lollies to help.
On black Jack lollies are these like the black Jack sweets? Hubby got me a box of retro sweets for Xmas - rhubarb & custard, black Jack and mini wham bars. Great fuel for longer runs (although I always worry a trip to dentist will be needed part way round 😂😂)

And on freezer surprise I went to work one day (back in the day when you went to work) meeting meant it was a late lunch (aka after canteen closed) looking forward to my soup to find it was chicken stock OMG I was starving.
I swear we label everything that goes in freezer but it’s amazing even now how much comes out ‘naked’

Yes gg the Black Jack ice cream is a version of the Black Jack sweets - a bit like a twister lolly with a layer of black jack (liquorice) flavour and a layer of vanilla in a spiral. They do a rhubarb and custard one too but I haven't tried that yet.
An early (and stress-related) newt for me today. Unable to sleep so got up at 5 and have cleaned all the kitchen cupboards (and eaten hot cross buns). The cleaning of kitchen cupboards isn't a newt as in first time ever but certainly the first time I've done so at 5am. (and if truth be told first time in a long time that they have had quite such a vigorous and thorough clean).
