Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well knocked in but limited use. As this one is £179 on eBay I should maybe flog it.

I had a GM bat as a youngster and i think it was a GN bat but it def had a Hick 405 branding on it too.

I did own whites of my own plus pads to go with my bat. Even got asked a few times to fill in for a village team when they were short of players cos the local village butcher played for them and i was well known for raining cricket balls all over the buildings around the village green.

Hick would likely have been Duncan Fearnley.

GN Scoop 5*. Mine must date from about 40 years ago.

My first bat was a Stewart Surridge, with Peter May's signature embossed into it.

Raining now as wells BL. Might go to a pub.
