Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

(Sorry, DocM: it looked like I was demanding a suite of answers from you personally there :-o . Not what I meant.

I'm concerned that massive decisions are being made based on statistics which are at best shaky, as if they were reliable. They may be the best information we have, but it does not mean that they are good information.

What would I do? Test large enough representative cohorts of the general population to have at least a better idea of what's actually happening. Like Iceland are attempting. Not that that going to happen in the UK anytime soon, or possibly ever.)

no offence taken
your point is very valid, but at least telling people to stop smoking can only be a good thing? Unless it makes the non smokers complacent I suppose

This is the treatment manual from a hospital in China translated into English. It might make interesting reading for those who are involved in treatment. Just the description of donning and doffing all the protective gear was an education for me.

Just been offered, and accepted, my first COVID-19 assessment centre work session. So far the local sessions (in a different part of the same building as the non-COVID-19 triage centre where I usually work) have been quiet.
