wishing you all speedy recoveries. I feel i got off quite lightly with my bout. basically the whole family had it though not all tested positive, but as the symptoms were identical its hard to imagine it wasnt covid. eldest even managed to summit ben nevis having thought he had escaped it and then had the symptoms for just one day, the following day.

jdawayinamanger Don’t write off your F-i-L’s chances of suffering less than someone half his age. My dad is 95 and has had Covid 3 times, each time with symptoms no worse than the colds he used to get every winter.

GWS to both of you.

Hope jda and family recover well and quickly.

As far as I know I have still only had covid once despite it being in my house on at least four other occasions, none of which were passed to me. The source of my one bout remains a mystery

I’m basically better but my wife has just tested positive. A bit curious she didn’t catch it at the same time as me but I suppose that’s the luck of the draw. Anyway a good excuse for a few more days at home, not such a hardship in this weather!

Still weakly positive on day 6 which is annoying, I only tested to make sure I was negative before going out. I know it's not necessary to isolate but I don't want to specifically go and infect my friends when I know I've still got it.

I just found the box of covid tests I misplaced last year. I was sent them to test daily and send in... I never did as I lost the buggers... Ah well 🙄
I was so ill, they got dumped at the bottom of the pile that was a years worth of backlog finances and admin!
