blogs.bmj.com This may be useful regarding returning to sport post-covid. It was shared by a member of my Tri club who also works as a physio for the NHS. |

Oh Andy. I have nothing useful to say, but I couldn’t not acknowledge your post. My heart breaks for you. I only hope you can start seeing some more positive advances soon.

When did you have Covid Andi? I am believed to have had it early Marvh 2020 and am only now, the last couple of weeks or so, starting to feel normal again... That is a good 2 years of exhaustion, inability to do anything strenuous etc not great if you have to drag your sorry arse out to do a physical job and I have only been able to do half my hours and had to stop tree pruning and landscaping... I could not even focus on my studies because of the brain fog... But! I have eventually gotten better |

Thanks all. It's not feeling much better so far. Hanneke - I first had covid in late March/early April 2020. I've had moments of respite since then, but not seen any real improvement - if anything, things have got worse since then. The cognitive dysfunction has made work almost impossible at times - at this point, I'm just waiting to get fired. |

That sounds pretty shitty. Meh! I still struggle with my memory/recall a lot actually. I realised today, working with a client on new planting plans. I could not remember a single plant name! As I am self employed, this won't get me the chop... I am going to try some things to see if I can improve on the "haze in my head" and will keep you posted if I find something helpful. Hugs! |

I had a look through my copy of The Long Covid Self Help Guide which has been written by people working in the Oxford LC clinic to see what advise it has on brain fog but it mainly just links it with fatigue. It does have a lot of advice on managing the fatigue though. The only thing I have found to manage the fatigue is to take regular rest breaks and by rest I mean conscious rest - not lying down and watching TV. Lying down and listening to a yoga nidra or body scan guided meditation, or lying down and concentrating on slowing my breathing. |
