run free
My lovely running club have been doing a challenge cup during lockdown. We challenge each other to 5K and scores are created on percentage on best time within the last year. It has made me run harder a lot more than I normally would to try to beat my PB over a week. The higher percentage wins. Wonder if a Fetch ladder can be set up? ....Anyone interested? Shall I talk to Sir Fetch about it?

The "Sturg" is threatening to legislate to force Scots to wear homemade face coverings in shops and on public transport.

Well the email I have been expecting came today, The company is still looking to avoid compulsory redundancies but if they have no choice there will be 59 jobs at risk across the UK offices, 9 in my department. I have been with the company 18 years (the last 8 wfh) with hardly a sick day but I doubt that will mean much now.

I hope that isn't causing you too much stress DQ.
I walk before and after work and get up when I can to walk around the house/garden for a few minutes to give my back and eyes a rest.

I just feel sick LMH! I can't see business picking up enough in the foreseeable future for the company to continue as it was.

DQ that’s tough. I hope it works out for you.
I suspect that this kind of thing will only increase

Tim, another way of putting that (and I may be told to toddle off to the Politics thread) is that the First Minister of Scotland is putting in place legislation (for clarity) that sensible face coverings should be worn in places where close proximity is likely to occur, to minimize the spread of the virus, while getting people out and moving again. The same way Sadiq Khan recommended that Londoners should.
I wouldn't object to legislation to get people to do something to protect everyone but to enable greater movement and interaction. I'll toddle off now! G

Oh and DQ, really sorry to hear that. Hope things work out ok. I think we'll be seeing a lot more negative business and economic information coming out over coming months, thought that isn't any comfort to the individuals affected (of which I may well be one in 3 months or so when current contract is up).
