Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have got an email from Boots Opticians to say my eye test is due. Their consulting rooms are very small and I'm not sure if I would be comfortable with someone looking into my eyes just inches away from my face.

I’m taking an alcohol break around my first jab (4 days before and 2 weeks after) - nothing to lose and the vaccine feels so important.

What is the logic of the alcohol breaks please? Confused.

On another note, found that "suppressed" for my town does indeed mean that we have three or fewer positive cases. Plus, statistically, one or two asymptomatic individuals.

We received a letter asking us to consent for MiL (in a care home, we both have LPOA).

A relative of a friend had to attend A&E, severe anaemia and palpitations, he refused to have a covid test (non believer) so they gave a transfusion and sent him home, guess they won't admit if a test is refused unless it's a matter of life and death, would that be correct thinking on my part?

I get that alcohol can affect many things including ability to fight infection but that article was rubbish (IMHO) don’t drink before and after your vaccine but if you do don’t drink much.... sounds like boris wrote it.

Re the party in London, a bit worrying that it says no arrests were made and no new fines issued.

I really am baffled by people who do this. I can't get my head around these utter imbeciles
