It hasn't come from anywhere really, and neither me or my sister are anti vaxxers. I think it's just we are both ages where starting families isn't too far off.

I guess it's more about the vaccine than covid (as I've had covid and that wasn't a choice so nothing I can do about that anyway). Just interested.

I think the issue arose because the vaccine provokes an immune response to the spike protein which has some similarities to placental proteins.. My understanding is that they are sufficiently dissimilar for there to be no problem

With all the optimism and excitement about the vaccines etc, I feel the need to point out one salient fact.

More people are going to catch covid in the next two months, than have caught it in the past year in total.

If there was ever a time to sit tight and reduce all contact to the bare minimum achievable, it is now.

I am with you on that jda, I am feeling very angry and frustrated that we aren’t having a complete lockdown again now, today.

What's the difference between level 4 restrictions and full lockdown? How long do we want a national lockdown for?

Restricted contact - as in lockdown 1. No one from outside your own household, even outside. Schools closed. Places of worship closed.

Back a few legs TR mentioned schools explicitly not been able to wear masks in classrooms - one of my friends has 2 kids in same secondary school they wear masks all day including classrooms and have not had any isolation absences.

Hard for the kids but taking to her younger one she and her friends are happy to do so as while they still require adherence to SD’ing she said most are not as good at so it keeps everyone safe. I don’t know anyone else who has had such success.

Also in lockdown 1 you weren’t supposed to go to work if not a keyworker, even if you couldn’t work from home. At the moment you *can* go into work if you can’t work from home regardless of how unimportant your job is.
