I've used the term WAGS in the above post and realised that seems a bit sexist. It does reflect the overall demographic on shoots. However obviously you do get a fair number of female guns and they may bring HABFS. Sorry if I caused offence. |

um
Many of my runs & walks are deer stalking. Without a gun and without the peat / bog crawling experience. The Fetch avoid shirt hopefully blends into the ferns so I might be camouflaged. Has been covid safe so far ... only risks seem to be spiky gorse and bogs. |

Late 70s - early 80s. An episode of 'The Professionals' featured a 'new breed of hunter', who stalked deer with a gamekeeping guide, and a camera mocked up to look like a shotgun. The hunter met a sticky end - but not before taking pictures of the murderer.

My multi-gun owning friend said that pheasant shooting is right to go ahead. A) it's an outside sport, B) the beaters are paid, so it's work. I have no interest in that activity, just mentioning it. |

From the BBC website: Ioanna, 21, arrived a week ago from her native Greece to begin a Masters at the University of Oxford. "Compared to home, nobody here is taking things seriously," she says. "I was really surprised when I came here. You're in Tescos, say, and so many people are not wearing masks and nobody is challenging them. The staff are not wearing masks." Ioanna - from a part of Greece not covered by quarantine rules - thinks enforcement is crucial to any future lockdown. "In Greece there is lots of enforcement of the rules," she says. "I myself phoned the police when a man refused to wear a mask at the beach - if I did that here, what would even happen?" |
