So maybe the idea of letting the "vulnerable to infection but largely unaffected otherwise" young adults get it will actually benefit us all in the long run, since the virus won't hopefully have that reservoir in future? Bit callous, I know.

Could be other factors of course, but on the face of it, letting it run in a particular group won't just keep it to that group.

Zoe app keeps going up and down I presume from catch up data. I don’t trust any figures at all.

We will be back in lockdown in January and it will last at least 3 months. Don't get your hopes up on anything being reopened until the R is well below 1 and the troublesome areas identified, as per Australia. That of course, will not happen, everything will be open as it was by mid-December and we'll be back in Lockdown 3 in March.
