Since Feb I've had 3 outdoor cafe meals, 2 drinks in beer gardens, and 2 well researched indoor meals in country pubs. I've seen my parents a few times but no other family since January. I feel I'm following the rules but then again no matter how strict the rules are, the people that flout the relaxed rules will also flout strict lockdown. Today at work I went to a young girl with covid symptoms. She and her partner had ordered home tests (yesterday) but not received yet. On advice to self isolate until negative results, initially both agreed. So I asked how they planned to get shopping. Ahhhh, came as a bit of a shock that they were being told that wasn't possible now. I advised re support groups. But then they wanted a "voucher" for self isolation payment. Now, I know it's available if contacted by track and trace in person. Not available if the app tells you to isolate due to anonymity. But actually the guy had a fair point. I was telling them to isolate. They need the income from work. Yet there's no way the govt payments can be linked to our advice. And then we wonder why the virus spreads...

One day back in school after half term and he's been day next to our close to someone who got tested Monday (presumably) and got test result today. Perfect start to Y10 with 4 weeks direct teaching lost, though to be fair to the school they've moved from work set online to live class participation remotely.
